#PMvEng asks Q1: In your project process, what phase do you spend the most time on and why? Would you do things differently? Let's be honest, are Change Orders part of your project planning process? What are the Pros/Cons of Change Orders?

@jacobyaudio Oh hi! You're here on Mastodon!

I'm a big planning person - getting pre-planning done, ground rules set, comms methods set - those are key to a successful project.

All for change orders - they're a great way to track decisions made along the way. I will do a $0 change order just so we know it's an approved change. #AVintheAM #avtweeps #avmastodon #avmsp

@avmsp Welcome!!

Thanks for jumping in. And yes, tracking every little change can be key as they do add up.

@jacobyaudio
Change orders are ( or can be) a normal part of any business. Depending on how the SOW was written to say a bid, there can be many or a few. In my organizations they were discussed by PMs to clients and handled by sales.
Note sometimes CO needs can be uncovered with a thorough External Kick Off....
