I'm used to Dutch, so I always say "witbier" in English, sometimes also in Swedish.

@elmerot @beersofmastodon that's not quite how it works. Weisse is the Bavarian way of saying Weizen, both the Reinheitsgebot following German wheat beers with clove and banana in the aroma. Wit is the Belgian style, with additions of coriander and citrus (peel/zest typically) that has mostly unmalted wheat and is typically very pale.
