Re-listening to Seattle Saturday Set 1 now.

Def picking up the differences between Gordo's Serek and the Modulus quite a bit on re-listen.

Curious if he will stick w/it all tour or switch around depending on the song, venue, etc.

How do you guys like the Serek so far through a couple shows?

@ShakedownSax I think for streaming purposes, the tone is great because the fat fundamental sub tones on the Mod don’t translate well there whereas the shimmery mids of the Serek stand out and cut through the mix. And I wonder if complaints about bass in the stream mix were part of the impetus. But I’ll prob miss that beefy low end rattle from the Mod a lot live tho 😅

Mike seems to be enjoying playing on the shorter scale a lot though, def some added pep in his playing!

@BradLeeOnBass love the feedback and insight from a real live bass player here :)

Yeah, I am really enjoying the sound on relisten and loved it on the streams. Same thought about whether we will miss some of the BOMB effects in a live show setting.

@ShakedownSax @BradLeeOnBass still needs to be groundtruthed via a massive tweezer reprise bass bomb!
@BradLeeOnBass @ShakedownSax I hope you stick around these parts. Your insights are appreciated 🤘
@drewphish @ShakedownSax I’m digging it a lot! Y’all gotta good crew here. Thanks man, appreciate you!
@ShakedownSax I know it’s a shorter neck and doesn’t have the deeper fundamental notes that he gets with the Modulus, but I like it. Seems more melodic or brighter maybe? And also seems to come through in the mix better, although that could be the mix itself. Not dissing what he’s been doing obviously but I definitely like the sound.
