#istria100 #running - it was as if the red route runners were super heroes (they finished 168k) - even during the winner celebration: when a red racer came in during that - people turned around and cheered heavily for this late finisher instead. Amazing
@moelholm everyone is a winner in these competitions. Years ago in my first life as a runner I was doing a 80K trail run in Norway. In the middle of nowhere. No one, including the 1st runner finishing, left the area until the last runner arrived and past the finish line. We all know that finishing these challenges is the real task and accomplishment. Not being first.

@recollir fantastic! Agree 💯

These days I’ve seen people cross the finish line for 21k with a proudness and radiating a victory feeling on level with any other of the longer ones. Seeing the 21k’s today, reminded me of the proudness I had on the 21k’s I started running only end of last year. It is the same feeling I have now - just another goal. We all have our own unique goal lines that are huge to us and those around us.

Saw many parents joined by their kids crossing the line 🤗🤧: beautiful

@recollir I am a softie apparently- had to pull myself together MANY times in order to not let the tears out 😅
