Not exactly Mail Day, but I was looking online for a new PCB for my #NK65 Milkshake (zapped mine through the USB somehow and killed it) and couldn't find one.

Instead I found someone selling a bare bones kit of the #Rama Kara Soya (with some well tuned #Durock stabs and a tape mod).
So I harvested the NK Silk Yellow switches from the NK65 and a Laser inspired keycaps set I had lying around.
Sounds so silky and yet still thocky, just the way I like it.

Just finished programming in all my MacOS macros and stuff. This is now my new Office #Keyboard

@paulomalley @mechanicalkeyboards awesome! I love macros from the board (as opposed to AutoHotKey scripts). I macro my PC sign in because my job requires a ridiculously complex password and I type it wrong all the time. I have a Ducky One 2 Midnight w MX Clear switches and GMK WOB caps. What Cherry switches are the NK Silk Yellows most similar to? #MechanicalKeyboard FTW

@herchenroder
I have a pretty long password too, luckily I am able to use Touch ID for sign in. 😄👍

Silk Yellows are similar to MX Reds (being linear) but feel a little smoother to me and they have a slightly lighter actuation weight.

I am a bit of a heavy Typer personally, but I really like how these feel.
I may end up moving to a set of Tactile switches eventually (tactile is what I prefer) but for now, these will definitely do the job.

As for the macros, I have about ten or so hidden on the board as well as a total of three additional layers to allow for additional actions. Layer 4 for instance is purely for the controls for the RGB.

@paulomalley @mechanicalkeyboards I prefer tactiles, too. My favorite are MX Clears. Not to say there aren't others out there that are better, I just had to find an endgame and don't have the patience or funds to explore the other switches. (I've tried MX Red, Black, Brown, Topre, Razer Orange and Otemu white)

Macros are so great. I script a lot with AutoHotKey but you have to be signed into the machine for that. Macros on the board are awesome because they just work all the time!

@herchenroder
Yeah, having them on the boards is much more preferred for me as I regularly use multiple computers and being able to simply plug in my board and know that the commands will work is invaluable.

I'm a huge fan of using tech to be as efficient as I can be (my YouTube channel is probably enough evidence of that to be honest lol).
Falling into the Keyboard scene during COVID Lockdowns just simply enhanced thiss love for me.
