More adventures with fountain pens. I am increasingly in love with the Kaweco Student pen and the Kaweco midnight blue ink I splurged on. It's heavy, but it's so smooth and balanced I don't notice the weight. It just glides across Kokuyo paper (807BT) and has been fine with my Carolina Pad. Plus I can store a second international short cartridge in the barrel. #Kaweco #FountainPen #Kokuyo
I think I'm going to give up on the Monaggio pen I bought on impulse. It's just not making me happy. It's nearly unusable on the smooth Kokuyo paper, and it's even a bit fussy on copier paper and index cards. The ink flow is irregular, and I need to press too hard to get consistent flow. Perhaps I'll get around to examining the tip with a loupe, but today is not that day. Nor is tomorrow. #FountainPen
I tried popping a Monaggio international short cartridge into a new unused TWISBI. The cartridge wouldn't seat. It writes nicely now that all the ink has leaked out of the cartridge and is sloshing around the barrel. The new TWISBI's predecessor was bad out of box...or was it? I had tried setting it up using a Diamine cartridge that also wouldn't seat. Maybe idiot me broke it by forcing the cartridge. Hmm is it time to try bottled ink using the included converter? #FountainPen #TWISBI
