A former student of mine, serving on the bench in a developing country, once expressed dismay to me that fellow members of the judiciary there were happy to accept corporate favors much smaller than these.
This man should be ejected from the federal judiciary like a hard object from a living body.

Clarence Thomas must be completely disconnected from reality to not realize how bad this looks.
Do you honestly believe Thomas cares what it looks like? He’s been smoldering for years over the Anita Hill hearings, so what he’s doing now is retribution for the “pain” he suffered. He’s as vindictive as shit.

the "Roberts Court".. continues to be one of the most extremist and unethical in modern US history... they deserve a top to bottom congressional investigation... and likely an impeachment or three... or four.
In an ideal world this would bring a lot of scrutiny to past decisions, open an investigation, and possibly open a discussion on fixed term limits for justices. But... I am not confident it will.

Clarence and Ginni Thomas are traitors and crooks. They should be arrested, he should be removed from office, and his pension canceled.
This country is rotted to its core, not by apathy, not by external factors, not by the tides of history. It is rotted because we have all looked the other way while extreme corruption and barbarism have infected every facet of our republic.
If the republic proves incapable of defending itself, then it falls to the citizens to defend it. Because, let's be crystal fucking clear here...There is NO power in the land that can FORCE Thomas to resign without his consent without a constitutional crisis. The rot has compromised our most basic functions.
Time for all of us to choose our path is coming. Accept the corruption and the grinding oligarchy that formed it, and our own status as proles under that system...or accept that the GQP is the enemy of this republic. Because it sold itself to the crooks who bribed their way to an oligarchy.
