Hey #Wisconsin progressives. I know you're celebrating the court victory, but don't sleep on how bad it is that both constitutional bail amendments passed.

Our Super Great legislature now gets to define "violent crime" how they see fit, judges will (in some cases) be forced to set bail for charges they had discretion on before, and poor and marginalized people will have their lives ruined more often.

We're going backwards as our neighbors to the south and west move to abolish bail. #abolition

Bail is literally freedom for the rich and cages for the poor. #EndCashBail

Everyone should have a conversation with a poor person whose life or family has been wrecked by supposedly low cash bail.

If you're living paycheck to paycheck and barely skating by, what do you think being held behind bars until you come up with $1000 is going to do to your employment?

We do different "justice" based on how much $$$ you have. That's straight messed up.
