I just read the #AdamBinder trilogy by #DavidRSlayton in under a week and I LOVED it. I appreciated how different chapters cover the same content just from different perspectives. The world building is amazing and the story almost Dresden-esque…but what I REALLY liked is the characters didn’t get to take short cuts in the end and that made it all the more satisfying. Highly recommend!

@kayakalison @bookstodon I loved the Dresden series. I’m checking them out now!!
@johnettesnuggs @bookstodon book 1 is really about the character arcs of Adam and his brother. Some really solid character and world building. Then books 2 & 3 take them on a fun ride that felt very reminiscent of Dresden. I hope you like them!
@kayakalison @bookstodon Thanks! I ❤️ Dresden!

🤔
Sorry for the dummy question😬
What does Dresden-esque mean
Thinking about the German city of Dresden I can't make sense of it 😵‍💫
And I couldn't find an author of this name
@realn2s @kayakalison @bookstodon There’s a really fun fantasy series by Jim Butcher called The Dresden Files about a wizard named Harry Dresden. Highly recommended! 😀
@labradorgirl @realn2s @kayakalison @bookstodon did you see the series made from them?
@muirinnmac @realn2s @kayakalison @bookstodon Yes - it was cool, but the books are better. Also very short lived.
@muirinnmac @labradorgirl @realn2s @bookstodon I never watched the series because the casting looked wacky…especially Karrin Murphy who’s supposed to be blonde and look like a cheerleader but they changed her name to Connie and made her a brunette? I figured with those kind of liberties taken up front the others would just annoy me. Was it any good?
@labradorgirl @realn2s @bookstodon ding ding ding. Books 2 and 3 of the Adam Binder series were very reminiscent of “Summer Knight” from the Dresden series in the relationships with some of the elves, without borrowing from any of the plotlines.

I really hope Jim gets a grip in the next book soon. I haven't forgiven him that one particular death, though.
