Fell@SpaceGeek It's most likely due to the #NVIDIA driver. Gallium9 tells me my driver isn't compatible. I just tried switching to the #FOSS #Nouveau driver and the top half of my screen was black. Oh well... I'll figure this out tomorrow.
Okay, so for the record, I tried a bunch of things to get #GuildWars2 to work on #NVIDIA:
- Installing #Nouveau to use #Gallium9 caused a lot of problems (like no 144 Hz) with no noticable improvement.
- Installing #VKD3D #Proton didn't do anything as #GW2 is #DX11
- Installing #DXVK made the launcher crash "Coherent GPU process crashed"
- Simply launching the game through #Steam magically worked. ✨
Seriously, what black magic is #Valve doing? Is #Wine even relevant anymore? #GamingOnLinux
