The pressure on the cap will be practically the same, upright or upside down; and anyway it makes no measurable difference to the force needed to open the cap.
This shows why everybody should learn basic physics, chemistry, biology etc as early as possible in school.

Not so much a prank, as something I’d expect most people to consider so stupid, that it might be funny. I seriously doubt anyone, at least anyone on Mastodon, would actually believe what I’ve written here, let alone actually try it.

The population here may be more intelligent/educated, but only in a statistical, average sense. The distributions are very broad and overlapping...

People could think it is a real hack to get the cap unstuck. "Turn bottle upside down, twist on the cap until it starts to turn, turn the bottle upright, open." But of course...
