We are releasing the well-poisoning machine, because if we don't do it first, someone else with even worse morals might do it faster.

By being the first people to poison the well, we can know exactly what kind of toxins will be in the water such that we understand the symptoms when we inevitably make the whole village sick from it.

Of course this has prompted our competitors to fire their ethics people and also poison the well even faster, but such is the inevitable march of progress!

@jcaron @mononcqc That’s ok. You do you. We’ll do us.
@mononcqc

I want water but all I get is Flavor Aid from these wells.
@mononcqc I think that the mere strong possibility that releasing this unknown substance into all the wells at once should at some future point be revealed to have killed millions should not delay business today.
There is no proof that preventive measures are really necessary though, those should not be funded.
@larsmb @mononcqc whom are you guys parodying?
@mononcqc And if anyone expresses reservations about uncritical consumption of water from the aforementioned poisoned well, they should be labelled a 'Luddite' and a 'buzzkill'.
@muzzle @mononcqc it’s more like a whole marketplace of Torment Nexuses (Nexii?)

@mononcqc IMHO, you are articulating Machiavellianism. But these days, it's not any sort of thing to worry about, so please, carry on. 😂

(_thick sarcasm, BTW_)

@mononcqc This made my day.

The only important thing not said is that the villagers should be invited to provide feedback. Reason: participatory feedback tells us exactly which toxins sicken the most people in the shortest amount of time.

@mononcqc I totally understand the ethical concerns or whavever but once you put the poison in the well there's no taking it out! shrug emoji! better learn to metabolize toxic water!
@mononcqc This has always been one of the key features of the Torment Nexus
@mononcqc Which is how the hydrogen bomb came to be.

@mononcqc

It's lucky that we will have newly developed AI tools available to us to help analysis the poison and develop antidotes. Not to mention predict distribution patterns and develop defensive strategies.

Just think, if AI technology had been deliberately suppressed and monopolized, a lot more people might die from this destructive well-poisoning technology.

While there are many potential dangers with AI, it also has the potential to do much good.

#DifficultDecisions

@mononcqc @irenes Well, actually.

@mononcqc and all of this is down to the laws that govern [choke, cough] business.

In fact the laws governing all entities that ultimately determine the date of the Well.
