Ok I had to look it up. A #Racoondog is neither a raccoon nor a dog. A canid more closely related to a fox, native to East Asia.

There’s a whole bunch of evidence listed in this wikipedia page (!) that they were present in the wuhan market long suspected of being the source of animal to human transmission of SARS-CoV2.
