The consultation process around the employers’ proposals was deeply flawed. The survey conflated proposals on separate disputes, and further conflated formally consulting on these disputes with pausing action.

On the substance, I would like a formal vote on the #USS pensions proposal. But on #FourFights, we were offered thin gruel on the non-pay elements of the claim, and nothing at all on pay. So it’s right that Jo Grady’s package of consult and pause was rejected. #ucuRISING

@israblack I agree. We were given 48 hours to vote, whilst not being clearly told what we were voting for or against. I searched hard for information on pay, but it simply wasn't there in any of the documents I found.
At the same time, it was being touted as a breakthrough, which could be taken to imply that an increased pay offer was coming (it wasn't).
