A friend of my parents had a Commodore PET that they let me use every time we visited them.

My dad bought an Apple ][+ when I was in the 4th grade - this is the machine I started programming “for real” on.

@ctp same! I had a 4k level I model I. I used PETs at school, owned an Atari 800 and ended high school using Apple IIs and my Mac in 1984.

Used my first Mac in late 1983 I think, before they shipped. I was a teen working at the local computer store and we got super secret training before they were released. Wrote my first Mac apps in 68k assembly.
