So I started playing Potion Permit on the Steam Deck. It's better - I absolutely hated the KBM controls - but hoo boy, it's slow. Most days, I'm heading home to bed by 4pm, since stamina is so limiting and this early, food is pretty cost-prohibitive (and not overly effective).

It's fine, so I can give it a few more play sessions to see if it starts to feel better pacing-wise.

@Krikket I bought it on Switch because I did not like the PC keyboard controls. Progression is slow, but it does get a bit better. I eventually drifted onto other things cause the grind for resources got too tedious for me. I managed to unlock at least three zones before I hit that wall. Cute game and I did like most of the gameplay.

@playerVShobbies Grindy might suit my purposes - I don't want something that's moving along *so* fast I stay up too late playing! I was a little surprised at the amount of resources that go into upgrades or unlocking new areas though - at least the trees grow back every day?

@Krikket Yes! Everything regenerates daily. And it is a good idea to hit all the story locked herbs often as they are usually a good resource for solving potions.

With three areas unlocked I ended up with too much I felt I should do and lost focus a bit. Plus I love fishing in games, but it takes up your whole day so easily with how long it takes.

@Krikket Oh! Look for banners around town and areas. It unlocks fast travel which helped a lot. I missed seeing those when I started and did a lot of walking.

@playerVShobbies oh no! I have found a few of those, mostly because I'm that type of player that clicks EVERYTHING to see what it does.
