Suquamish

I'm running #KDE Neon User edition, using a #wayland session(^1), and I'd like take a screen recording to demonstrate application startup times.

I've installed #bluerecorder, #kazam, and #peek, and all result in a recording that simply shows a black screen with my mouse cursor. Doesn't matter if I run as my normal user or root.

Does anyone have a recommendation for an app that might work or how to make one of the apps listed above work?

^1 - using X11 instead produces the same result.

@suquamish obs has always worked for me on Wayland. I know it's a lot to setup but it does work. Flatpak version is official too.

@suquamish yes. Yes I is indeed. Hopefully #kde will have it's built in video recorder for us soon.
