"Purging" lesson plans to sweep "uncomfortable" truths under the rug of rebellion has the stench of Inquisition & dicktatorships, at the same time.

I went to a Catholic high school. We read "The Diary of Anne Frank" Acted out scenes in class. The tv seried "The Holocaust" was required viewing.
We also read "Huckleberry Finn" and "Tom Sawyer" . I survived
