#guitar #cable #question: where does a low-capacitance cable count the most? #Instrument to #pedalboard, #patch on the board, or board to #amp?
For what it's worth, I've ordered a schmancy #guitar #cable with Swarovski crystals and Illudium 2000 connectors, made by monks on the moon.
@eyesquash pix please
@EarlOfEdgecombe You've caught me out. It's just a $65 cable from Runway Audio.
I used to try to pay <$50 for a guitar, then for a pedal, and now this?
Arrives Tuesday. Pix and spectrum analyzer screenshots then.

Instrument Cable

@EarlOfEdgecombe Here we are. Swarovski outer mesh lattice, moon-dust-impregnated insulator sheathing, Illudium 2000 connector points.
I can play Eruption now*.
#guitar #tone #cable #Hooey
*no, I can't.
@EarlOfEdgecombe Damn me if I don't think I can hear a difference!
Old #cable is red, says #fender on it. New one is #RunwayAudio. Both 10ft.
Strat, sitting in a stand, middle pickup, direct into audio interface, strum open strings.
1st sample is new cable, 2nd, old.
#guitar #test
@EarlOfEdgecombe Here's the sample of the old cable. I didn't realize how dark it is.

@eyesquash there is absolutely a difference, a surprisingly large difference. New one sounds louder, brighter

Huh.

Still not convinced that it's necessary? But an interesting data point...
