@harleygold This is not the case with my#jeep #4xe and I didn’t see anything from Stellantis in that article. I think automakers have a tight rope to walk here: subscriptions for things like Sirius XM, internet connectivity, off-road navigation services and the like I can see as a service. But items part of the core driving experience will face a hard backlash like BMW experienced.
@Archnemysis A simple iPhone/smartphone can fix that problem.
@harleygold oh exactly, a subscription I gladly pay for monthly. Even willing to pay for map subscriptions as long as they are kept current. But those are the only types of subscriptions I think are viable. If there is not some need for recency or consumption I don’t see the value.
