Long day today. Started at Koko Crater, hiking up the railway track.
The photo doesn’t show just how steep the track is (and this is actually the less steep section).
Later on there is a section where the tracks are over empty space, and then it gets a lot steeper, and each step a lot higher.
At the summit, we found some impressive graffiti art, and flowers/plants.
The views were impressive too, but it was an overcast day today so they didn’t make for great photos sadly.
After that, we stopped at Ono Seafood (a hole in the wall poké place). Kids had their raw fish (I went next door for vegetarian friendly Thai).
Next photo stop was Lanikai beach, possibly my favourite beach here on #Oahu.
After Lanikai, we stopped off at a small store for some mochi. Then to Turtle Bay beach to see if we could see turtles. Sadly not. But we did get a #rainbow sighting.
Final stop from yesterday was M. Matsumoto shave ice. Since we first visited here (~20 years ago) it has changed a lot! The shave ice is still really good (much better than the stuff you find all around Waikiki).
