@shilkytouch its a retelling of Kagemusha. Sort of. Idea came to me a couple weeks back for a #trpg about people being able to manipulate dead flesh. And in that next instant, the whole story was in my head.

I started with "Minion" -- but the name also appears in German as shortend form of Minna or Wilhelmina. It works in Chinese and Korean. Traditional Chinese 閔 and simplified form 闵. Of course lots of other hanja for this sound/name as well.

I wouldn't object. Honestly, this is set in an alternate post apoc samurai future, so not everyone's going to be of Japanese decent. Brad or Jerry might be a bit jarring, but a Min or Song or similar might work well.

@DNA well that's the page I'm reading from. Looking forward in time, one expects big migrations and intermixing. Like how, in the backdrop of Blade Runner, you see LA as an asian city. It's one thing that puts the LA timeline in the future.
