Getting used to my #Glove80, a #split #ErgonomicKeyboard. Really enjoying my #CustomLayout so far, especially having Shift, Ctrl, Alt & Win on *both* thumbs, unlike #KinesisAdvantage.

Next step to increase comfort is trying #tenting: raise the middle part so that my forearm bones are less twisted and more towards a natural handshake position. Starting with ~ 16 mm (pictured left), but this #keyboard could go way higher!

Attached: 1 image This week, my new #Glove80 contoured #ErgonomicKeyboard finally arrived! Yesterday I customized the layout (especially the thumb keys), switched the keycaps accordingly (using 18 caps from add-on sets) and replaced the default white keycaps with black ones. I'll certainly post more about it at some point, but for now, just join me in enjoying this great look! Definitely! There are many #Linux users on the #MoErgo Discord community.

#Glove80 doesn't use special drivers or dongles, it's just USB HID spec compliant over either USB or BLE.

If you're wondering about how configuring the keymap works: there's a vendor-hosted webapp which spits out the firmware file. Installing that is just like putting the file on a USB stick. (Alternatively, you can build the #ZMK-based firmware yourself.)

The website is a bit misleading, unfortunately. In fact #Glove80 batch 2 is currently being manufactured! The last I heard (a week ago or so) they estimated to complete that by end of April.

If you make a reservation for 25 USD, they will notify you when it's available and then you have 14 days to make the remaining payment.
