#Surgery went well. It hurts to swallow since they made an incision on the left side of my neck to reach the #herniateddisc on the right side of my #c5 and moved a lot of internal parts to get at it. Otherwise, I'm feeling good!
Dry mouth again, though.
Agggh, my #ContraCollection game from #LimitedRunGames was delivered today. Guess I need to wait until I get home tomorrow to play it. Thankfully, my awesome wife opened it to ensure it wasn't damaged.
Didn't get the best sleep last night due to compresses on my legs and nurses checking my vitals every so often. I'm not feeling bad, though.
My cell mate sounds like a zombie, though.
I'd normally feel bad, but he's an insufferable ass. He keeps being rude to the nurses and keeping his cell phone ringer on high and has loud speaker phone conversations with screaming children on the call. One of the major reasons I'm looking forward to going home today.
I got one of these to keep my lungs clear since I had to be on a breathing tube during surgery. Reminds me of the CPR mini game from #FFVII 🤣

Finally back home!
It's weird. Knowing I have artificial parts and a cadaver bone now in my neck. I've never had so much of a tooth extraction, tonsils taken out, anything like that. To go from no surgeries in my life to 2 this year already (and more to come!) seems crazy.
Apparently, this guy was upset when I was away, in the hospital overnight the other day. He seemed a bit apprehensive to come near me at first when I came home yesterday. Probably smelled the hospital and my incision on my neck, perhaps? Or just mad at me for being gone for over a day? Per the doctor's orders, the bandage came off my incision yesterday. Looks good (as well as a several inch incision that was sealed back up can look!). I can finally shower today (yah!).
The only thing is... I knew this was coming, but I'm getting itchy around the incision. Hopefully, I won't need a cone around my head to keep me from scratching, lol. #surgery #neckfusion #kingofthehill #hankhill #dalegribble #boomhauer #yup
I'm grateful I'm *mostly* able to do things on my own. Just can't lift over 5 lbs or drive. Thankfully, family is around to help with any of that. I hate being limited, but at least it's mostly not much of an inconvenience to others.
