Watching the extended, 'Delta & The Bannermen' on blu-ray. I had forgotten how much I love the bit where the Doctor holds up a charred blue suede shoe and says, "A poignant reminder of how violence always rebounds on itself" #DoctorWhoَ
One more, sobering thought about D&TBM. If Gatwa & Gibson did a jaunt similar to McCoy & Langford, visiting a musical era, thirty years into the past; they would find themselves in the 'ardcore rave era #DoctorWho#Top1#Nice1#GetSorted
@blairbidmead I've been thinking for a while that this story, one of the least well-regarded in the classic canon, could be remade today in the style of an RTD pseudo-historical romp and it would be brilliant. (I actually quite like it as it is.)
@blairbidmead I think it has its problems but at the time (for me at least) it was a breath of fresh air after s23, which nearly drove me away as a teenage fan entering uni. DW became fun and interesting again in s24.
