Glad I got to see them perform, as well as solo shows from several of the members. My rough understanding was that each of them had independently created what were essentially electronic improvisational devices, with which they'd perform solo. And then someone put them all in a room together or something. I am probably making half that up. You go try googling "the hub" and see where it gets ya! (next reply has some deep history I found while learning a good lesson)
