@nixCraft Are users considered computers for the sake of this question?

@jaxu @nixCraft I don't see any difference to the previous question … ;-)
@nixCraft sometimes i want to rip my laptop in half
@nixCraft Usually I want to hit other peoples computers with a hammer.
@nixCraft No vote from me because I decided (after much struggle) against a career in those fields due to the exact feeling you've described lol
@nixCraft yes. And by "once in a while" I mean aprox once per week.
@nixCraft It's more often that I want to hit someone else's. Usually a server.
@nixCraft I greatly dislike computers so yes all the time.

@nixCraft

The pc was so expensive that I just can’t even think about hammering it

@nixCraft I have and I will gladly do it again if I ever have to use Visual Studio 2019 again. Don't test me
@nixCraft Every programmer knows: computers were a mistake.
@nixCraft back in the days of CRT monitors we had a miniature foam baseball bat we called “the debugging tool”. If the whole thing got to much for you, ask for the debugging tool and spend a minute beating the crap out of your monitor. Great stress reliever.
@nixCraft anybody remember the Byte Bat?
@nixCraft as an IT folk, every day I want to hit computers with a hammer and long for the days pre-computers to return
@nixCraft it's not the systems but their users that make me want to break stuff.

@nixCraft

No, because:

PEBKAC
or
PICNIC

Problem Exists Between Keyboard and Chair
or
Problem In Chair Not In Computer

Nuff said.

@nixCraft nope, computer good, now... If we talk about people...
@nixCraft how else would I squash bugs if not for said hammer
@nixCraft no, the computer can not be held responsible so there is no reasoning in beating it. But those designed the hardware and those providing its software …

@nixCraft I want to beat sense into my fellow men with blunt things far more often than I want to beat my computer.

At least when my computer behaves unexpectedly, it’s an exception and not the rule!

@nixCraft like when trying to figure out why #ansible isn’t deploying the new #sensu check, only to notice your deploying to the wrong serve 😂

@nixCraft Not since I switched from Windows to Linux because if it misbehaves and it bothers me enough I can fix it or at least report a usable bug report to the right project.

Besides it's hard to hit the software without damaging the probably innocent hardware.
