I just swapped my wife's and my SIM cards. It took longer to get our single-piece rubber phone cases off and on than it took to activate the new SIM. Didn't even reboot our phones, the Fi app popped an activation notification and it figured out all the rest after selecting which account were wanted to do it with.
One day, maybe this summer when I'm bored, I'll order a new #GoogleFi SIM and call the "Need Help?" number and see if I can charisma my way to getting it activated without being signed into my account, but I am scared of what I would find, and I'm not willing to be unkind to anyone.
