Very sad to hear that Local Bitcoins is shuttering after serving the crypto community for so long. As an alternative on-/off-ramp to for those who can't or refuse to use the existing banking infrastructures (the "unbanked"), or for those in other geographies where flight is a real thing and you don't want to subject your hard-earned wealth to seizure, it offered an opportunity for folks to use crypto for financial freedom and help build community.
