Silver lining of working from home - dyed some fabric black in the washing machine today, and it's come out really nice. While I was at it, I also threw in a load of undies that were old and looked really shabby. They now look new(ish), which I'm very pleased about.

The fabric is a stretch of white cotton jersey that I experimented on with leftover dye when I was tie dying last year. It didn't come out so great, but now it's a mottled dark grey and I love it. Gonna be a summer dress.

@Fredatron
Since I bought a box of used sheets, I believe that I still have some leftover white cotton. Tempted to try dying but I'd best get through my stack of #UFOs first.
@EllenInEdmonton Oooh, when you do dye it, what will you do with it?
@Fredatron Probably use it for a skirt or a #HinterlandDress. I know that I used some of the white for #toiles but I'm not certain I saved any. I have so many lovely fabrics already in waiting, though...
@EllenInEdmonton That sounds very cool. Nice to have a waiting list of fabrics, but also, it'd be nice to have the time to sort them all out!
@Fredatron I did actually do a nice job of sorting over the last month, so I have a pretty decent idea of what I have on hand. Next up will be sorting my copy-shop PDF patterns so that I can find and re-use them. I've been punching holes in some of the pieces and linking them with a shower curtain ring. I think I need to mount a towel rack or curtain rod in my storage room to hang them from. I've used shipping tubes to store them while they're full-sized.
@EllenInEdmonton That's such a good idea! Best of luck with sorting the patterns :)
