Twitter Co-Founder @biz has offered to advise the Mastodon team.

@Gargron accepted the offer for help.

Some people will be happy that a Twitter Co-Founder is advising Mastodon. Some people will hate it.

Regardless, the Fediverse isn't about any one person. It's about ideas.

@atomicpoet
I'm sure he has plenty of insight that doesn't involve algorithms. Back in the G+ days Myspace Tom was in there and sometimes dug deep into what does, and doesn't work in SM. And on the surface, accurate. (wish I remembered half of that)
@olavf Did you work at MySpace?
@atomicpoet
Nooooo I'm a hardware guy. I just try to pay attention to folks that know what they're talking about.

@atomicpoet Don't see any reason to worry. The Fediverse is pretty solid, and Gargon seems to take his role seriously.

Plus if biz is smart he knows whats up . . .

@atomicpoet
A Twitter founder advising for Mastodon is fantastic. The only person who is justified in being upset is Elon Musk.

@atomicpoet

I don't think the starting goal of people like Gates, Jobs, Woz, Brin, Page, Dorsey and the most of other "founders" of the past was to become exaggerately billionaires, but rather to get appreciation for the quality of what they made.

But an overdose of money ruined many of them.

@GustavinoBevilacqua I like how smoothly left out Zuckerberg from the list πŸ˜‰

@nicemicro

I don't consider him a "founding father" πŸ˜„

@atomicpoet @biz @Gargron It seems a good thing. Hey, you can’t make the same mistake twice, can you? Oh… maybe you can, actually πŸ˜‚
