This was one of the first opera productions I saw, on #MetOpera 's free streams during lockdown, and part of what got me hooked. The end of this, when the chorus comes in with that crescendo. Magic πŸ’–
Thanks for sharing it.
@classicalmusic @emmaaum oh wow! What a way to start πŸ˜ƒπŸŽΆ
@lotti
πŸ˜‚ it definitely was πŸ’–
@emmaaum I’m talking about La Traviata and playing excerpts on Zoom this Saturday if you’d like to know more about it.
@lotti thanks. had a look on your website; gas bill arrived yesterday (they want payment by the 3rd! πŸ™„ ), waiting for the electric to work out how much i can spare this month. quite a time we're living through, eh?

@emmaaum My adventure with #operamusic starter also with Traviata (from Salzburg). It is of course worth to see it in a theatre. I am however a big fan of #metliveinhd and #metondemand.

It's difficult for me to travel and there isn't much opera where I live so I'm very grateful for the streams. I think my first week of opera-viewing was Carmen, La Boheme, Traviata, Il Barbiere and maybe La Fille du Regiment? They knew what they were doing to make a fan for life.
I'd love to hear it live.
