ican do this all day

what is happening? why are people getting aware of this old post now?
for gnome 44, still wip:
@muqtxdir are you running a user theme here? In Gnome 43.3, switching to light mode doesn’t seem to affect the notifications/ date panel.

@Tommy no its local modification that I did to gnome shell to swap stylesheet if style preference is either default or prefer-light.

you could achieve this with user theme ext as well, but the dark mode toggle from quick settings won't do anything as shown here

@Tommy also just to make sure this is not default shipped gnome shell behaviour, this is just me adjusting gnome shell to my way (I kinda prefer having light mode for gnome shell as well)
@muqtxdir crystal clear - thanks. Thought I'd missed something. I'm a fan of the full light-mode, was hoping for a native implementation, but I guess I'll hop into the stylesheet for now. Looks great!
@Tommy I'll try making this public with gnome 44 so other people who would prefer having a full light mode implementation can try it out without the need of user ext.
@muqtxdir can you also make the panel and overview and app menu bg light ?
@thisisanik you could do that but I like it this way :)
