If I had only a #US passport I could not get a #permanentresidence in #Germany unless marrying someone with a passport with a #citizenship of the #EuropeanUnion

Hätte ich nur eine #USA Staatsbürgerschaft würde ich keine permanente Aufenthaltsberechtigung für Deutschland erhalten ohne Heirat eines Menschen mit #EU-Pass.
Warum? Why? Kein #Hochschulabschluss - no #degree.
The #US accepted me without degree.

The #EU only wants graduates. #Formal papers are everything in #Europe. #Immigration

In #Europe you do not study because the field fascinates you. You study to get the paper saying you have a Bachelor or Master to nourish the family. And you have strong unions always pushing away people without that paper so that "your graduate paper is preferred".

I had a guy at the University of Konstanz who bluntly told me that he was not interested at all about what he did for the Master and what he does now - he explained to me that he did all the studies for bachelor and then master "to nourish the family and to afford a house". And he is still not interested in the work he does.

Because he knew in #Germany in the public service sector the salary is dependent on your #degree, not on your work.

How can people live like this?
