Every time I enter the classroom, like this morning in Pretoria, I feel the same passion.

You can change the world in that room, with those learners.

Today we are launching 🇪🇺 Regional Teachers’ Initiative for Africa.

Sub-Saharan Africa has a young, vibrant population. But it also has a high rate of education exclusion and shortage of qualified 🧑🏾‍🏫👩🏾‍🏫.
 
To turn things around, 🇪🇺 will #InvestInEducation €100M to the Initiative. #TeamEurope 🇧🇪🇫🇮🇫🇷🇩🇪, @_AfricanUnion & @UNESCO are onboard as well.

The Initiative will build on and complement national efforts #TransformingEducation.
 
It’s a key component of the #GlobalGateway Investment Package for Africa, which was agreed at #AUEUSummit in February.
