I saw highly militant indigenous spokespeople whipping up the crowd today. It was all rage, but no solutions. I'm all for treaties, constitutional recognition and a new date but for the life of me I can't fathom what they're actually demanding. Just rage rage rage. #auspol
@AaronDodd I was a deputy principal at a school in the 1990s when three First Nations children were murdered. No one has been convicted. There are 200 years of these stories. I saw the raw rage and I understand the raw rage. #auspol #alwayswillbe
@Peteatkorogoro @AaronDodd
I was going to say similar.
If you don't understand the rage, then take the time to understand. There has been so much injustice and pain inflicted on these people, and it continues to this day.
I do appreciate that there is a lot of angry shouting at these events and it's had to follow what points are being made.
I will be supporting The Voice and voting, yes. But I understand those who don't think it's enough.

OPINION: Only a Treaty will end the war against First Nations people

Treaty sets the baseline; truth and Treaty will acknowledge our Sovereignty and strengthen our Voice, writes Senator Lidia Thorpe.

@MrLee @Peteatkorogoro I completely understand the rage. I'd be surprised if they were not angry. That's not my point.

Rage without a solution is just noise.

Be angry. Be motivated for change - but come with solutions otherwise it's just wasted energy.
