Spotify is dumb af...

if I want to block a person I obviously don't want to see them in any form...that means I don't want to see their shitty attempts at "art"/"podcasts".

Eventually we will measure the psychological harms of all these shits & see that these are fucking us all up currently more than we know.

These seemingly "small" things have real effects & build up (just look around...).

Honestly...

fuck anyone trying to downplay the importance of being able to block artists/bands/podcasts/people/accounts (ENTIRELY).

If someone wants me dead I obviously don't even want to see their name or pfp.

+if you go on there you don't have to browse long to find the scammers creating a shit ton of accounts and doing who the fuck knows what (some can't be blocked for some reason btw).

Spotify needs to get its shit together...Also, fuck Daniel Ek...it's clear what his priorities are.

A lot of the "artists" are not even that (or they are "clones" or "fake" bands aka people using names of established artists to scam their way onto playlists and shit)...they are just another way to scam people & to chase "clout" (why? I have no fucking idea).

& Daniel Ek allows all this for the same reason Elon Musk allows nazis on Twitter...$$$

Is it really "engagement" when that "engagement" is just endlessly muting/blocking people? Because that's what these fucking bullshit apps always seem to turn into.

It's also REALLY FUCKING TOXIC

turning a MUSIC APP (you know...an AUDIO-centered app)

into a cheap fucking Instagram.

Fucking weak ass bait & switch, Daniel.

Fuck these fucking fucks.

I don't care about other peoples' babies and their pfp. Focus on the MUSIC. Jesus fucking christ. It's so god damn simple.

If there was a "block all" accounts feature I would hit it...I want a music app...not a social media app...fuck.

I don't want to see any of that shit.

People start "playing" the app like a game & it is fucking gross.

It makes me angry knowing Daniel Ek wants to literally force nazi artists on people (if we come across some bullshit or something similar there's no way to "remove" the artist or song or band/no longer see it/them).

That is max bullshit dystopia.

& guess what?

What are bands/artists? Or I should say WHO?

They are PEOPLE...so given that obvious fact...we should all have the ability to block every song/artist/band/audiobook/audiobook author/podcaster/[audio personality I can't think of]/any other thing that is related to PEOPLE...

The whole point is...if something is PROBLEMATIC...to the point that I want to block the artist/band/podcast/song then I obviously want the ability to COMPLETELY block ALL ASPECTS of it (including pfp+search).

There are SO MANY "artists"/people I don't want to EVER see again in any form on there...give me the ability to remove them...it's like the purpose of these apps is to make us suffer. It's clearly not to make it a "user friendly" experience. Daniel Ek is like "fuck that shit. They're gonna suffer using MY SHIT."
I don't care if I'm affecting Drake's "reach" or some other abstract bullshit. I don't ever want to see that fuck. I'm never going to listen to that bullshit...yet it is PUSHED on me...
from 2020 btw...
When Spotify started it wasn't as sneaky with the way they pushed big label artists and other shallow bullshit. It was much easier to just enjoy the music I was seeking out...instead of getting trapped in their "alorithm" trap which is a dead end.

Like if I am listening to vinyl I don't want someone to just start throwing a bunch of bullshit on there. Not a great listening experience.

Or it would be like I am listening to my favorite song & Daniel Ek comes in & changes it to the worst possible radio station. No. Fuck you. Fuck off.

Has anyone been on here?

It's such a fucking joke.

The "community" is very clearly asking for the same things OVER AND OVER again yet they are continually ignored OVER AND OVER again...turning "customer service" into a shitty "social media" thing maybe is not the best idea out there...

-People clearly want the ability to customize & CURATE their library how THEY WANT (which means the ability to block ANY artist/band/podcaster/human)
-Any+every anti-harassment feature

The Spotify Community

What they get instead is the exact opposite.

They are force fed content through playlists and algorithms. The "home page" has ADS though it claims to be "ad free".

The app is flooded with bullshit/harassment/disgusting content.

Hateful content (such as Joe Rogan Podcast) is pushed on people who PAY to use Spotify.

Big labels still basically run shit (I thought the point of streaming music was to get away from that too.)

The #3 top idea on "Spotify Community"
The "democracy" over at "Spotify Community" looks very much like Elon Fuck's version of "democracy" (aka NOT).

@MaxPow3r11 Other reason why I don’t like them.
Since they let an Antivaccine use their platform to spread his lies, I followed the Neil Young’s and the hundred of people’s example and I left that thing.

I rather #Tidal and #Qobuz (have better sound quality and pay more to the artists) but they may not work better for you.
Maybe an #UturnAudio U.S. made turntable would be better for you, a Magenta/Margules, an #EuropeanAudioTeam, or an album purchased at ProStudioMasters.com
