I bought the lovesac sofa so thanks to everyone who recommended them.

oh shit i can hack my really expensive new sofa with 3d printed parts and some cubicle cabling

i should be sleeping, i am so very tired

@hacks4pancakes The next frontier of cybersecurity is couch security.
@hacks4pancakes
I can lose blocks of hours once i hit a โ€œ flow-stateโ€ - the hard part is turning it off enough to sleep
@hacks4pancakes The first thing I did for my new sofa was print TPU "socks" for the feet so it wouldn't slide around on the wood floor. Worked great!
@hacks4pancakes Did you get and keep the little sectional block building kit? It's my new desk fidget toy, I love it.
@rageous I didnโ€™t get offered to keep the blocks. I must have not spent enough thousands of dollars, lol
Sactionals Mini Blocks Set: Natural

The Sactionals Mini Blocks Set comes with 10 seat blocks and 10 side blocks for you to rearrange and explore all the possibilities before setting up your dream Sactional configuration. This 20 piece set includes high quality wooden blocks with a natural wood finish, and the embedded magnets make snapping these together a breeze. Great for planning, experimenting, and seeing how our Sactionals are The World's Most Adaptable Couch.

@rageous I mean they let me design with them but it was like the store set
@hacks4pancakes Yeah we actually bought them and took them home. As you can see from the reviews though, it doesn't include the store-exclusive deep back pieces and people are annoyed. ๐Ÿ™ƒโ€‹
@hacks4pancakes
Ah... the B52s.... oh wait, maybe that was 'Love Shack'...
@john_philip_bell @hacks4pancakes ๐ŸŽตI got me a sofa, itโ€™s as big as a whale. And weโ€™re floppinโ€™ on down to the LoveSac(couch). Itโ€™s got a big riser, it seats about 20. So hurry up and bring your laptop buddy.๐ŸŽถ
@hacks4pancakes ๐ŸŽถ the lovesac, is a comfortable place to, sit down and watch netfliiiiiiix, lovesac baybeeeeeee ๐ŸŽถ
@hacks4pancakes My folks have these and JUST YESTERDAY my dad was saying what a good purchase it was
@ColonelPanic I hope so because it was a hefty one

@hacks4pancakes I hope itโ€™s as awesome as everyone says they are.

I was thinking about trying them when we get our new home, but I about died when you mentioned $8K the other day. Wowie zowie.

@geekgrrl I financed, of course. A sectional wonโ€™t cost much less if you want ant customization
@hacks4pancakes If it lasts, and is awesome, itโ€™s worth it. I think it was just sticker shock. lol
@geekgrrl lifetime warranty, infinitely reconfigurable and color changeable. Washable everything.

@hacks4pancakes Sounds truly lovely. I enjoy having options (even though Iโ€™m terribly indecisive. lol)

We all collectively await your review. ๐Ÿ˜‰

@hacks4pancakes I'd love to hear what you think of it after a couple weeks
@alyssam_infosec @hacks4pancakes I absolutely love mine! Had it for over 2 years now.
@bertjwregeer @alyssam_infosec the cheapo 3d print power thing is printing right now :)
@hacks4pancakes We had their enormous beanbag chairs in a couple of breakout rooms at the office and once I saw the brand tag on them I absolutely stopped having 1:1s in those rooms. It felt like a Business Conduct Guidelines violation just sitting in one.
@hacks4pancakes I got my kid the Plufl for Hanukkah. Still waiting for it to get here. Lovesac was his first choice until he saw the Plufl.
@hacks4pancakes I assume every time you sit on it you sing "Lovesac, baby Lovesac, Lovesac - a funky little sac"
@bigiain no, any other human would for sure
@hacks4pancakes Go on. Do it at least once. For meโ€ฆ ;-)
Lovesac Saction Raised Feet (Follow-up)

Hey all, This is a follow-up to...

reddit
@bertjwregeer So this is so your roomba can fit underneath? Hmm. I see that I can 3d print feet elevators too.... I'll give it some thought.
@hacks4pancakes we added extra legs to our sofa as well. It's really nice having the roomba get in there regularly, especially with pets

@hacks4pancakes yup, I was tired of having to pull the couch apart just to vacuum underneath.

I had originally 3D printed these in plastic, but the plastic was too brittle and broke when there was any sideways pressure put on it. Hence the fancy metal ones I got fabbed.

Having the roomba be able to clean underneath was worth it, itโ€™s so much nicer not having dust and crumbs collecting under the couch.

@hacks4pancakes we had a bunch of those. Awesome couches.
