The things you don't like are the reasons you move forward, not the reasons you stop.

Can you find the value in all experience, good or bad?

Can you see that the value in the journey is the journey itself, regardless of what happens along the way?

The tougher the path, the more reason you have to keep going.

Why?

Because you're learning that the value of the experience outweighs the value of the perceived reward/outcome every time.

There is so much value in your journey that you haven't seen yet.

Keep going.

Love to all.

@dellawren That can be the hardest thing to do...see the value in the bad because we only want to embrace and associate with the pleasant experiences

@besimms
I totally get that. What that idea makes us do is hold onto the pain longer. We try to ignore it or avoid it because we don't want to associate with it.

At some point that doesn't feel very good. It gets pretty overwhelming and then over the long term it can make it worse.

The idea is not so much that we want to associate with the pain as it is to understand why we're carrying it around. If we're going to carry it around then we might as well create a relationship with it that isn't a struggle or a burden for us.

It's just a different way of looking at it so that we don't have to be so weighed down by it.
