A ★★★½ review of Hercules Unchained (1959)

Follow up to 1958's HERCULES (listed of Letterboxd as LABORS OF HERCULES) is a better film than it's predecessor but still full of cheesy goodness. The honeymooning Hercules (Steve Reeves) gets stuck in a civil war between two scheming brothers, winds up with amnesia, is seduced by an evil queen (Sylvia Lopez), and fights what seems to be an endless bunch of tigers. Features a fight between Reeves and past his prime boxing and wrestling legend Primo Carnera.
