Inspired by a conversation earlier, who are your favourite #Welsh #Breweries #Bragdy #Cymraeg ?

For me (favourite beer in brackets)

Grey Trees in Aberdare (Afghan Pale Ale)
Mantle in Aberteifi (Dark Heart
Pipes in Cardiff (Californian Pale)
Purple Moose / Bragdy MΕ΅s Piws in Porthmadog (Dark Side Of The Moose)

Honourable mention to Wye Valley who, despite brewing the lush Butty Bach are actually just the wrong side of the border πŸ™‚

Used to take great pride that the drinks list at our old B&B was mostly Welsh suppliers.

All the beers (up to 25 different bottles from 4 or 5 different breweries), ciders (up to 10 from Gwynt & Hallets) and most of the spirits.

Wine was the only thing you couldn't really do - whilst there are vineyards in Cymru, they're small volume, so we couldn't buy them at a price we could mark up and be able to sell.

We've got such great stuff brewed and distilled locally πŸ™‚

@gethin76 amuses me to order BB round here with the right pronunciation and get blank looks 😜
@gethin76 The Pipes Wheat Beer is unreal, only problem is that it always goes straight to my head. Grey Trees are amazing too. And when Tiny Rebel decide to be relatively sensible, they make some lovely brews 🍻
@dyfrig Aye - agree with that completely. Pipes did a 7% Doppelbock a few years back - absolutely lovely but it was loopy juice!
@gethin76 That sounds about right! And blood-type lovely too!
@gethin76 hmm. I love Tiny Rebel's Jam Doughnut, and MΕ΅s Piws Chocolate MΕ΅s
@gethin76 Far & away my Fave is Tomos And Lilford (Cowbridge)
