Woo!! :: waves pom poms ::
I hope you have a great time, hand knit sweaters are the best!! (Both knitting and wearing!)
@Midnightjaz
Truthfully itâs the one I designed for my partner, but that feels a bit too self promotional, so Iâll say Elizabeth Zimmermannâs seamless saddle shoulder pullover which I used for a template in my design.
Really, all of EZâs designs are awesome

Summary This is one of four seamless sweaters âunventedâ by Elizabeth Zimmermann. Directions for all four are in chapter 4 of Knitting Without Tears; they are knit in the round from the bottom up and are identical up to the underarms. The Seamless Saddle-Shoulder Sweater is the third variant given and (as the name implies) has saddle shoulders.

Although no matter what you decide to knit for him, I Highly recommend checking out Elizabeth Zimmermannâs Knitting Workshop and Knitting Without Tears for great advice on knitting sweaters and lots of other great things as well
(For general sweater books a I also live Barbara Walkerâs Knitting from the Top and the Sweater Workshop by Jaqueline Fee)
this is a rough recipe. an experienced sweater knitter may have no problem following it, but it is suggested that you read though the sweater and EPS sections of Elizabeth Zimmermannâs Knitting Workshop, specifically the Saddle Shoulder sweater and variations before attempting, especially if you will need to make adjustments in sizing.
