Money talks.

My @smh @theage cartoon.

@cathywilcox No, the more they are seen the better. Most carry far more truth than divisive inaccurate media headlines.

Book bans and the fear of retribution around them aim to remove history itself from classrooms.

The Nib

@cathywilcox Generally no. Some topics addressed may need them though I guess.

OTOH, Mastodon allows you to add a description to the image for people who are blind or have low vision. That would be nice.

@cathywilcox If you use the #auspol tag you might get a wider audience AND people can filter you out if they feel the need to. The aus.social mods have said that they will not require CWs if the post could be avoided by filtering out tags.

@cathywilcox

No. Don't hide your most excellent work. Put it out there for all to see.

@cathywilcox The kind of places that constrain or insist on content warnings for political cartoons are probably not places in which to remain - good old #wowsers - #ContentWarnings should be saved for utterances by people like Scomo, Palmer, Dutton, De Santos, Meloni, Orban, Trump, Taylor-Greene etc etc.

❤️ Love the cartoon “While money doesn’t talk, it swears”

@cathywilcox

Some people do, which is why some instances require the use of CWs .

I guess you can choose to respect this, or not, and people can choose to mute or block your posts, or not.

It's so good that there is no algorithm to push certain stuff .

@cathywilcox it's absolutely rediculous that your amazing comics need these 'protective' covers. It's a sign that the mods have gone too far.

Comedians like yourself have been an important part of democracy and to see it sensored in Masterdom is simply saddening.
