Do you use contexts successfully? #GTD I consider myself a GTDer for 10+ years. I am using my Taskmanager (Things) every day. I almost always do a weekly review. I use projects and areas and I am, of cause, using the #2minRule . But contexts *sight*. It never worked for me.
@Afuerstenau How do you do #gtd without contexts? A single next action list?
@logan_mas kind of. I basically use the Today view from Things3. Each evening I look what's on my plate (meetings, due stuff) for the upcoming day. Based on this I pick 1-3 items from the anytime view and move it also to the upcoming day.
@Afuerstenau So you treat Anytime (I know #things3 very well) as #gtd #nextAction list. How long does it take you to identify the relevant actions to set their When date to Today? If there are more than e.g. 40 items, it would be too much for me. -> Indicator: I quickly scan a list and don’t remember what was at the beginning of the list when I’ve reached the bottom.
@logan_mas It usually takes about a minute. I don't scan every single task. I stop and skip the rest when I have found 2 or 3 which seem appealing to me.
