I am reading Solnit's Guardian article βIf you win the popular imagination, you change the gameβ: why we need new stories on climate". My climate fiction novel, '470' is based on the (ironically) hopeful thesis that our inaction is dooming us to economic collapse, but that's a good thing that opens up so many possibilities. '470' does what the famous quote says is the harder job of imagining - "it is easier to imagine an end to the world than an end to capitalism"
