In trying to nail down all the things I need to get done so that I can start crackin' on it, I find the list growing longer, and longer, and longer still.

For each task I add to Google Calendar's ToDo/Tasks function, three more tasks come to mind. It feels as though I'm erecting a vast metropolis to get across one street. I'm familiar with the maxim that "work expands to fill the available time;" it'd be nice if the planning stage of David Allen's #GettingThingsDone didn't do the same.

#GTD

@BeckieSueDalton If you repeatedly perform your #gtd #weeklyreview you‘ll notice a pattern of how much you can actually move within a week. Then strip your #nextaction lists down to what you can actually work. Put the rest to #someday/maybe. If you have too many items, set up multiple someday / maybe lists. Maybe one you review weekly and others you review more infrequently.

Later, you‘ll learn to delete items.

Thank you!

It's always mountain ranges in the beginning of stuff like this. I appreciate that we all have opportunities to meet people along the way who've done some of what we want to do and can impart some of their wisdom to make our path easier.
