Gutted to learn that while we were protecting folks in #FallRiverMA, fascists were attacking a drag story hour in #TauntonMA.

If you have more information on what occurred in Taunton, we'd love to hear more details and see any pictures folks were able to take of the fascists.

Unfortunately, fascists in Massachusetts do not announce where they will be ahead of time. They know that if they announce where they will be that resistance will be overwhelming. Instead, they show up unannounced and intimidate people who are not prepared for them.

The solution is for people everywhere to be prepared for them. If you live in Taunton, MA, and want to be ready for next time, let us know. We'd love to help.

You can do this. Every community can be like Fall River and fight back. Be strong and show the Nazis we won't tolerate them in our state.

More on the story hour that was shut down by Nazis in Taunton, MA.

Shame on them. Intimidating parents and children at a story hour.

They'll try to pass it off as some kind of tactical victory that they were able to get into this story hour unopposed, but let's call it what it is: bullying. They went to Taunton because they knew that it was undefended and they like picking on people who are weaker than them.

Shame on the police as well for allowing these thugs to intimidate children in the library, which should be a safe space for all children.

Residents of #TauntonMA and members of the Southcoast LGBTQ+ Network, please know you CAN and SHOULD fight back against Neo-Nazis BEFORE they get in the library next time.

@AIF_Massachusetts One of the things that bums me out most about living in a country where nearly thirty-seven percent of the “people” who vote are trumpers is that they feel so empowered to flaunt their xenophobia. Not just out it, but militarize it.

They learned hatred from their folks, or were propagandized hatred because their political identity attracted them to hateful propagandists.

It’s a goddam shame. #fucknazis

I hope people boost the hell out of this. We’re too complacent in MA and too quick to throw stones at other states instead of recognize the rising extremism in our own backyards. Thank you for continuing to put this out there - I hope folks are listening.

@AIF_Massachusetts this is only second hand but as I understand it they busted into the room and yelled. They didn't even hurt anybody this time around. The event went on just fine. NSC is bragging about "shutting down" the event on Telegram is stretching the truth a _LOT_
