Pixie had complications during her spay today, which resulted in severe swelling that has prevented the removal of her breathing tube. She must remain sedated and on oxygen while the critical care team works to reduce the swelling.   So far, she has not responded to any of the medications that typically reduce swelling. They are now determining if it is possible to place a tracheotomy tube that would allow her to be extubated and still breathe.   Please send all of your positive thoughts, prayers and love her way, as she will need every bit of it.   The initial estimate for her medical care is $8000.  We know this is a lot to ask, but if you are able to donate toward her care, we would be incredibly grateful:  TinyKittens.com/donate We will update this post as we find out more.   Stinkerbelle's spay went well, and she is home and receiving snuggles while we wait for news. 💕"
