Some schools ban #ChatGPT because it can be used to generate essays. But there's a better way to approach #AI in schools. Embrace it and teach the kids how to leverage AI for faster learning and increased productivity.

Our kids are born in the age of AI. They are not better off if we deny the inevitable and try to slow the progress.

The winners will be those who embrace the change. And that's why we should let kids learn with ChatGPT in our schools.

@alasaarela I feel like this severely underestimates the authority/power dynamic that I’d guess is pretty fundamental to the nature of our schooling and which would be undermined by the presence of a new AI authority. Embracing is likely not a simple substitution in the curriculum.

Yes, ChatGPT can answer exam questions. But can it write them too?

There have many stories published since ChatGPT came out last November about the potential of college students using the AI to write essays, answer exam questions, and otherwise skirt the educational honor system. But what about the converse - can we as instructors use ChatGPT to write exam question
