When people don't see a future for themselves they become vulnerable to bad actors looking to twist perfectly reasonable fears into anger & hate. The fix for #Alberta is a properly designed #JustTransition (or put even simpler: a PLAN) leaving no Albertan behind.

When you remove the politics from it #Alberta's #OilAndGas workers want what everybody else wants: to know their futures are secured & that they can build a life & provide for their loved ones. #IronAndEarth polling from May of 2021 reveals a strong majority are seeing the writing on the wall & want steps taken.

So we can create a #JustTransition for impacted industry workers because it's the right thing to do or because it's the prosperous thing to do. Either motivation is fine. Advocating for no plan whatsoever is not.
